What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead efforts to evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications
- Provide technical support to production systems by addressing complex issues
- Mentor and train associates within the workgroup, sharing technical expertise
- Collect and analyze data related to user requests, determining scope and system impacts
- Participate in on-call rotations to support system functionality 24/7
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in software application development and maintenance OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in software application development and maintenance
- Proven experience with programming languages such as Java and familiarity with build tools like Ant, Maven, and Gradle
- In-depth knowledge and experience with System Life Cycle Development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, on a rotating basis
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
- Experience with web applications using popular frameworks (JSF, GWT, Spring MVC)
- Advanced experience with code versioning tools, such as Git and Azure DevOps
- Familiarity with credit scoring applications and consuming credit bureau APIs
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
