  About simpleshow simpleshow started in 2008 as a media agency and has become the international market leader for the professional development of explainer videos. Using sophisticated storytelling methodology, the explanatory experts at simpleshow help make the increasingly complicated world understandable for everyone. For the last 5 years, we have taken things one step further. Our young team of developers have created the web application simpleshow.com, which allows users to create and customise an explanatory video, almost fully automatically, based on a text script. The tool is used worldwide by companies and private users to create videos. In order to relieve the user of as much work as possible when creating videos, we regularly implement new AI services from AWS or use our own developments, which are designed and developed together with a Berliner partner company. Usability and user acceptance studies are regularly conducted and a modern design concept is employed to ensure a user-friendly experience.
  
  

  About the role and your tasks

  We are looking for a motivated (Senior) Software Tester (m/f/d) for our simpleshow video maker team, who will advance the simpleshow video maker with their ideas and knowledge as part of a great team.   We are a relaxed and fun team. We also code outside of the office and like to meet each other after work for a beer. Working for the QA team of simpleshow video maker means enjoying a lot of freedom, so you can arrange your working hours to suit you and also work flexibly on a remote basis.

  Technologically, we are always on the ball to keep our software fit for the future and to constantly expand our individual know-how.
  

  • You are responsible for building test strategies and concepts based on (non-)functional requirements and further develop existing test processes in an agile environment
  • You will apply your expertise in the entire test process (test planning, preparation, execution, etc.)
  • You execute manual testing (integration and system tests) on our web application and its associated services
  • You report software defects, support the development team in debugging and the product team in estimating their criticality
  • You support our CSM team in 2nd Level technical support for reported issues
  • You develop automated E2E tests (using Selenium)
    
    

  This is your skillset

  • You have more than 3 years of experience in quality assurance (optimally in web applications)
  • You are familiar with working in a cross-functional Scrum team and have in-depth experience of test methods and concepts.
  • You have basic knowledge of designing and implementing automated tests (e.g. Selenium)
  • You are flexible in reacting to new situations and can work out pragmatic and transparent solutions
  • You are precise, persistent, committed and enjoy communicating
  • You understand and speak English very well. German is a plus
  • Ideally, you might have certifications such as ISTQB Certified Agile Tester or Foundation Level
