- Code-based data transformations unlock transparency, flexibility, and collaboration
- Analysts should adopt software engineering best practices to build trusted data products
- Core analytics infrastructure should be open source and user-controlled
- Analytic code—not just tools—should be shared and community-driven
- Work with customers throughout their dbt Cloud journey — from discovery, demos, and evaluations to product adoption and expansion
- Become an expert in (a) designing enterprise-grade data pipelines in dbt Cloud, and (b) articulating the business value dbt Cloud delivers to customers
- Collaborate with customer contacts to secure architecture and security approvals for dbt Cloud
- Partner across departments to grow the dbt ecosystem and support the go-to-market motion (e.g., present at marketing events, enable partners, collaborate with Customer Support and Professional Services)
- Act as the voice of the customer internally (e.g., surfacing feedback or influencing the product roadmap)
- Closely align with strategic partners (e.g., data platform providers or consulting firms)
- Travel up to ~25% of the time (to meet prospects/customers in person and attend team offsites/kickoffs)
- Be an active member of the dbt community (e.g., publish blogs, attend dbt meetups, etc.)
- 3+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI
- A solid technical background, with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modelling
- A firm understanding of and ability to discuss modern data warehousing architectures
- Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions

About the Role
We’re looking to hire a Senior Solutions Architect to join the founding go-to-market team for Latin America (LATAM). As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will lead the end-to-end customer journey from pre-sales to post-sales, including technical discovery, architecture, evaluation, and adoption of dbt Cloud for our Commercial, Enterprise & Majors prospects/customers. This role will also work closely with in-region technology partners (like Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) and own technical relationships with in-region consulting partners. Candidates must be based in the United States with preference in Austin, Dallas or Miami. Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is required, but having skills in both languages is strongly preferred.
