Implements and leads training for Student Ambassador cohorts focused on promoting awareness of clean mobility incentive programs and ZEV career opportunities across California communities, with particular emphasis on environmental justice and disadvantaged communities.
Develops and maintains partnerships with community-based organizations, environmental justice advocates, workforce development agencies, state agency partners and educational institutions to expand program reach and impact.
Develops policy recommendations and program improvements based on community feedback and emerging environmental justice needs.
Minimum of three (3) + years of progressive experience in ZEV policy development, environmental justice advocacy, or clean transportation program implementation at state or federal levels.
Master's degree in Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Urban Planning, or related field preferred.
Experience working with California state agencies, particularly CARB, CEC, or California Public Utilities Commission a plus.
Federal ZEV policy experience with EPA, DOT, or DOE a plus.

What You’ll Do
The Environmental Equity Program Specialist provides specialized zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) policy expertise and community engagement services to advance environmental justice and equity in California's clean transportation transition.
The Program Specialist serves as a subject matter expert for the Foundation's Environmental Equity program team, supporting initiatives that promote awareness of clean mobility incentive programs and ZEV career pathways across California communities.

Budgeted Annual Salary Pay Range:
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
