What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, implement, and maintain databases to support business requirements
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call team rotation schedule
- Monitor and control the performance, reliability, and availability of corporate database environments
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure database availability and recoverability
- Assist in driving best practices and enhancing the customer experience
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Significant experience in SQL server and at least one additional database platform
- Cloud experience, preferably with AWS
- Commitment to continuous learning and expanding knowledge
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of managing database systems on public cloud
- Knowledge of data encryption
- Knowledge or certification on Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) process
