      ABOUT THE ROLE

      As a Senior Staff Accountant on our Business Operations team, you will own General Ledger (GL) accounting. Including calculation, analysis, and preparation of journal entries and managing overall company expense recognition. You will perform and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, schedules, and roll-forwards, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. You’ll be the go-to expert on our Procurement (P2P) processes—overseeing Purchase Orders and ensuring alignment with budgets, while also managing Accounts Payable with an eagle eye for detail. This role is central to keeping our financial systems agile and efficient, as you’ll collaborate with vendors, partners, and teams across the organization to support tax planning, payment management, and continuous process improvements.

      The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000. Pay offered may vary within the posted range based on a number of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

      HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

      • Be a vital member of the Accounting team owning month-end close tasks, with primary focus on Expense recognition and related processes
      • General Ledger (GL) accounting - calculation, analysis, and preparation of journal entries (recurring and ad hoc), ensuring data integrity and accurate, complete, and timely record keeping and financial reporting
      • Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and maintain schedules/roll-forwards (e.g., cash, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, credit cards, deferrals)
      • Procurement (P2P) - Work as a trusted partner with all employees to manage company expense policies and procedures, including Purchase Order entry
      • Work closely with Finance in Budget-to-actual spend tracking, reconciling expenses across multiple systems
      • Accounts Payable (AP) – verify, classify, and record company expenses and payments ensuring accurate and timely processing
      • Manage incoming and outgoing department communications on a daily basis, contacting vendors, partners, and collaborating with all internal and external stakeholders
      • Analyze accounts, monitor trends, and flag anomalies, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely insight into all financial transactions
      • Partner with Financial Planning team in gathering data for deep dive analysis and financial models needs (cash flow forecasting and media campaign profitability analysis)
      • Actively collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments (People, Media, Sales, etc.) on new and existing initiatives
      • Be a key contributor to process changes and financial systems optimization initiatives
      • Assist with Tax planning and payment management
      • Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses

      WHAT YOU’LL NEED

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
      • Extensive US GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
      • Approximately 6 years of related work experience (public/private accounting)
      • Experience working in technology, media, or digital advertising company a plus
      • Extremely detail-oriented and very high level of accuracy – you take ownership in your work
      • Excellent, proactive written and verbal communication skills
      • High level of accountability and follow through
      • Ability to set priorities and work independently as well as being a team player
      • Goal-oriented with a focus on process improvement and desire to learn and improve
      • Must be hands-on and comfortable with learning and building new processes from scratch
      • NetSuite or related ERP system experience required
      • Proficiency in Excel and Google sheets, as well as strong data analytic skills
