What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead supply chain initiatives in the manufacturing operations environment, overseeing supplier selection and business transitions
- Develop commodity strategies and negotiate contracts/agreements with suppliers
- Conduct regular business reviews with high-impact suppliers to ensure performance
- Analyze and supervise corrective actions for supplier performance issues
- Manage requests for supplier pricing or information (RFP/RFI)
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience, Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience, or Doctoral degree with 0+ years’ experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or commodity management within a manufacturing environment
- Strong business acumen with the ability to build compelling business cases for sourcing decisions
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and use of continuous improvement tools for cost savings
- Experience with ERP systems or Power BI
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in complex commodity procurement and strategic relationship management in a regulated industry
- Experience with FDA regulations
- Global procurement experience
- Metals procurement experience
