      Job Description:
      • The Supplier Quality Engineer will support the evaluation, qualification, and ongoing monitoring of suppliers to ensure consistent quality and compliance with applicable standards.
      • The role includes collaborating across Quality, Operations, R&D, and Sourcing teams while ensuring all supplier materials and components meet quality, performance, and safety standards.
      Responsibilities:
      • Assess potential new suppliers for technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.
      • Provide technical support for the introduction of components from new suppliers.
      • Generate and maintain incoming inspection procedures and train inspectors.
      • Develop and/or source inspection tools and equipment.
      • Assist in generating component specifications.
      • Generate test protocols, monitor testing, issue qualification test reports, and approve components for product use.
      • Provide input to Design Engineering on new component technology and support selection with quality and reliability analysis.
      • Analyze incoming material defects, disposition issues, drive corrective actions, and communicate with suppliers.
      • Review new design specifications and provide feedback from a component quality and manufacturability perspective.
      • Investigate field failures related to supplier materials and develop corrective action plans as needed.
      • May supervise inspectors.
      Requirement/Must Have:
      • BS degree in engineering or a technical field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
      • Experience in medical device, automotive, aeronautical, semiconductor, or other regulated industries.
      • Project management skills with the ability to influence global cross-functional teams.
      • Experience with process validation, design controls, risk management, CAPA, and SCAR.
      • Strong organizational and self-motivation skills.
      • Excellent communication and information packaging skills.
      • Ability to rapidly learn and use software applications (e.g., PLM, ERP).
      • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
      Should Have:
      • 3+ years of medical device engineering experience.
      • Experience in the medical device industry.
      • Problem-solving and project management experience.
      • Leadership experience on a materials or service commodity team.
      • Experience as a lead auditor of quality systems (ISO 13485 or similar).
      • ASQ certification (CQE, CBA, SSGB, SSBB) is desired.
