      A new and exciting opportunity has arisen. The post holder will provide leadership within the Community MSW team and nurture our culture of developing the maternity support team.The post holder is expected to undertake a set of defined competencies. Support will be given to employees to further develop their skills.       Main duties of the job

      The primary role of the Senior Support Worker: Education is to assist, support the maternity support workers (MSW) to develop their competencies. This will ensure safe provision of care for our women and families. The post-holder will provide leadership within the MSW team and nurture our culture of supportive learning.

      Development of others will be through:

      • Development and implementation of education and training programmes to promote evidence based and high-quality women-centred care. Supporting MSW's in clinical practice to achieve their objectives.
      • Leadership and expert advice on MSW practice
      • Working in partnership with the Community Midwives and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve agreed, common goals.
      • Supporting programmes for newly appointed MSWs
      • Provide high quality care and safeguarding to our wide and varied population
