      About the Role

      We are seeking a skilled engineer to design, develop, and deploy robust configuration management solutions for Linux servers and IoT devices across more than 2,600 retail locations worldwide.

      What You'll Do

      · Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to manage Linux server configurations.

      · Containerize applications and manage their deployment to production environments.

      · Write and maintain Python and Ruby scripts to manage configurations for thousands of globally distributed IoT devices.

      · Build and maintain store lab environments to support development and testing activities.

      · Coordinate with facilities and business partners to manage lab equipment and ensure availability of required hardware for testing and development.

      · Operate within an Agile development environment, contributing code and test cases aligned with best practices.

      · Collaborate with business support teams, product managers, security, and architecture teams to resolve critical production issues and improve business processes through automation and technology.

      Who You Are

      Required Skills and Experience:

      • Proficiency in scripting languages, including Bash, Python, and Ruby.
      • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
      • Strong background in Linux system administration and configuration, including various Linux distributions for IoT use.
      • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
      • Foundational knowledge of wired and wireless networking principles.

      Technical Skills & Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology & Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant professional experience in a similar role is required.
      • Certifications in Linux administration or DevOps-related technologies are a plus.

      Technical Proficiencies:

      • Linux System Administration – Strong expertise in managing and configuring Linux environments.
      • Scripting Languages – Proficient in Ruby, Python, and Bash; experience with script packaging and automation.
      • Windows Administration – Basic knowledge of Windows systems and PowerShell scripting.
      • Infrastructure as Code & DevOps – Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible.
      • CI/CD – Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
      • Containerization & Orchestration – Experience with container technologies like Docker or Podman, and orchestration using Kubernetes.
      • Artifact Repositories – Experience working with tools such as JFrog Artifactory.
