- 10+ years of directly related experience in computer systems, data centers, system engineering/administration, and network configuration including authentication and authorization (LDAP, AD, PAM) on Windows and Linux platforms
- BS degree in Engineering, Math, Computer/Information Science, or another technical field or 2 additional years of directly related experience
- Proven experience building, configuring, and maintaining Linux, Windows, and network device operating systems including knowledge of computer hardware (thin clients, SAN/NAS, RAID arrays, servers)
- Prior Ubuntu/Red Hat system administration experience
- 5+ years working with NASA
- Be able to support the design, fabrication, and operation of ground support equipment (both electronic GSE, and mechanical test fixtures), the design of test sequences, the specification of pass/fail criteria, and the generation of test procedures
- Be able to perform integration and testing of thermal, electronic, and electromechanical systems and subsystems
- Expertise in operation of various test equipment, and instrumentation sensors, and in the manipulation and processing of resultant data
- Comfortable supporting the determination of test methodologies, specifying the instrumentation, and test equipment necessary for test, directing the test, and subsequently analyzing the resulting data and preparing summary reports
- Comfortable supporting tests that will often involve measuring system or subsystem performance over temperature, and in the presence of a disturbance environment
- Familiar with automating system security compliance and patching using HCL BigFix or similar solutions
- Familiarity with setting up and managing system backup solutions
- Familiarity with coordinating and running network wide security vulnerability scans
- Experience managing 500+ systems of varying operating systems
- Experience programming Juniper and Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls in high bandwidth networks
- Experience with implementing and troubleshooting PIV Card authentication
- Heavy understanding of Group Policy and Active Directory
- Familiarity with NIST 800-53 IT security paradigm and implementing security controls in compliance with institutional policy

Aerodyne Industries is seeking to hire a Senior Systems Administrator to support the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope (RST) at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The Senior Systems Administrator will design, build and maintain mission operation control centers and data centers supporting NASA satellites as well as labs supporting software and flight hardware development. The primary role of this position is to provide system engineering, virtualization, network and administration support to the Goddard Distributed Virtual Environment for Secure Test & Operations (DVESTO). This includes documenting and performing IT security baselines and benchmarks, installing, and configuring computer systems, storage arrays, communications networks, and performing system integration, testing and operational support.
