      • Generating and simulating operational level plans to explore the art of the possible, how we could defend the ultimate high ground in a future space war
      • Dynamically optimizing both terrestrial and space-based sensors to provide comprehensive space domain awareness
      • Strategically optimizing the placement and maneuvering of constellations of satellites to satisfy multiple, evolving priorities

      Our team leverages industry standard open-source software solutions such as GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher.       As a Systems Engineer on an Agile Scrum Team, you will have the opportunity to rapidly develop and deploy Modeling, Simulation and Training solutions for a complex space system following core engineering principles, ultimately enabling the delivery of fully functioning mission capability to end users securely and continuously.

      Desired skills

      Ability to lead and manage the Modeling, Simulation and Training effort for a complex system using Agile methodologies

      Experience working on large-scale software projects with multiple teams and stakeholders

      Ability to perform system analysis, modeling, simulation, and trade studies

      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

      Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to think critically

      Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a focus on delivering high-quality results

      Experience with MSTX tools, technologies, and methodologies, such as:
      • Modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UML)
      • Simulation frameworks (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink)
      • Training simulation development (e.g., serious games, virtual reality)

      Experience with MSTX-specific tools, such as:
      • Simulation software (e.g., Simio, AnyLogic)
      • Modeling tools (e.g., IBM Rational Rhapsody, NoMagic MagicDraw)

      Familiarity with data analysis and visualization techniques, including:
      • Statistics and data mining
      • Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

      Recent on-program Systems Engineering experience

      Familiarity with open-source software development solutions such as GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher

      Familiarity with CI/CD software development methodology

      Familiarity with the Space Domain

      Active TS/SCI security clearance

      Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

      National Pay Statement

      Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
      Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
      (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
