  As an Senior Systems Engineer M365 Purview , your role involves a range of responsibilities and tasks related to data governance, compliance, and risk management within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You will be responsible for the conception, development, maintenance and further development of Purview features. In close coordination with the business, you implement customization that meet business needs.

  Responsibilities

  Data Classification and Labeling:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data classification policies.
  • Implement and manage data labels and sensitivity tags.
  • Ensure consistent application of labels across documents, emails, and other content.

  Access Control and Permissions:

  • Configure access controls for Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Define permissions based on roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor and audit access to sensitive data.

  Data Loss Prevention (DLP):

  • Design and implement DLP policies to prevent accidental or malicious data leaks.
  • Monitor and respond to DLP incidents.
  • Educate users on best practices to avoid data exposure.

  Retention and Archiving:

  • Set up retention policies for different types of content.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage data retention and archiving across Microsoft 365 workloads.

  Audit and Reporting:

  • Generate compliance reports using tools like Microsoft Compliance Manager.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess adherence to policies.
  • Address any compliance gaps or violations.

  Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Identify potential risks related to data handling and privacy.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in compliance regulations.

  Collaboration and Training:

  • Work closely with legal, security, and IT teams to align compliance efforts.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on compliance practices.
  • Foster a culture of compliance awareness within the organization.

  Incident Response:

  • Investigate and respond to security incidents related to data breaches or unauthorized access.
  • Coordinate with incident response teams to contain and remediate incidents.

  Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on Microsoft 365 features and enhancements related to compliance.
  • Propose improvements to existing processes and policies.
  • Participate in compliance-related projects and initiatives.

  Required qualifications:

  - Bachelor’s degree in IT, information security, computer science, or a related field.
  - Multiple years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on M365 Data Governance.
  - Expertise in both Microsoft 365 and Azure aspects of Microsoft Purview.
  - Experience with compliance, data loss prevention, classification, data governance, and risk management.
