  Job Purpose
  The position of Senior Technical Analyst within the Test Support Team at ICE Clear Europe entails the primary responsibility of offering support and management for both internal and external testing initiatives within the Clearing House. This multifaceted role involves diverse support functions, ranging from ad-hoc support to project management, formulation of test strategies, and oversight of comprehensive system testing.

  Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and support the testing requirements of internal teams, vendors, and clearing members in the UAT test environments.
  • Addressing internal and external test environment-related issues and queries promptly and efficiently, while upholding high standards of customer service.
  • Execute morning and intraday checks and tasks for the Test Environment, ensuring completion and addressing any issues encountered promptly through resolution or appropriate escalation.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of project-based activities, including Clearing Platform Releases, ad-hoc upgrades and releases and Vendor Conformance testing of fundamental Clearing Platform API changes.
  • Support the onboarding process for new Clearing Members, encompassing membership setup, testing, and guiding clients through the entire process (where applicable) to ensure readiness for Production go-live.
  • Execute automated transaction entries, responding to both internal and external requests or requirements.
  • Support testing for Product Tranches and ensuring the required Test Environment set up and conditions are in place.
  • Manage and update the Clearing Membership setup within the Test Environments to ensure consistent alignment with the configurations within the Production Environment.

  Knowledge and Experience

  • A fundamental requirement for this role is a comprehensive understanding of Futures and Options, encompassing a solid grasp of concepts, terminology, and the lifecycle of the contracts. Additionally, a robust knowledge of post-trade and clearing applications, including their functions, is strongly desired.
  • A quick learner with a meticulous and creative approach, possessing effective communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a proactive attitude.
  • Possessing an excellent track record, the candidate would ideally demonstrate considerable experience in the Derivatives and/or Clearing Operations Environment.
  • Experience with middle/back office/trading systems, preferably ECS, FEC, MFT, and WEBICE.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, Quality Center, IBM MQ, database interrogations, SQL, VB queries, FIXml, and FIX analysis, along with problem-solving skills, is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with technical tool sets, protocols, and third-party applications such as SFTP, SSL, Networking, Putty, WinSCP, etc., would be ideal.
  • Degree level education.

  This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
