- Work closely with customers to understand their technical and scientific needs, and develop innovative application project ideas
- Incorporate user-centric product design experience and voice of customer to develop robust, innovative application data for cell culture products and workflows
- Collaborate with teams from various departments and external scientists to conduct
- feasibility and development studies and partner with market development to publish.
- Act as a technical lead for application data projects
- Lead partnerships and collaborations with renowned investigators at research institutions, regulatory and standards organizations, industry, and biotech/biopharma worldwide
- Represent the company at scientific meetings and conferences
- Educational background in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or Bioengineering, with equivalent experience also considered (Master's or PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of cell culture experience supporting customers in regulated GMP environment
- Hands-on technical cell culture process development/manufacturing experience
- Strong experience in developing products for regulated (GMP) customers
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is searching for an enthusiastic Senior Applications Scientist, Cell Culture to join our team in Grand Island, NY, USA. As an integral part of our Biologicals and Chemicals Division (BCD) / BioProduction Group, you will work alongside Product Management, Market Development, and R&D to generate application data that supports customer workflows for the Cell Culture and Cell Therapy business. This role is ideal for a scientist who is deeply committed to advancing the field of protein therapeutics.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $93,800.00–$126,000.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
