      What is the opportunity?

      Reporting to the Manager, Letter of Credit Processing - Trade Operations, this role is responsible for providing all training and product knowledge support for the LC Issuing and Advising Team in Trade Operations. Additionally, this role will be the first point of contact for all Trade related escalations. The incumbent is accountable for supporting the operationalizing client care strategies, maximizing transaction processing efficiency/effectiveness, problem resolution and the integration/implementation of new initiatives and activities. Continuously focuses on providing an optimal client experience through direct/indirect interactions/and transaction.

      What will you do?

      • Manage end to end processing/release function such as issuing/amendment, demand checking and cancellations.
      • Internal and external client relationships from a service perspective, including direct client interactions where appropriate.
      • Perform, check and release Export/Import/Guarantees/Standby Letters of credit within delegated authorities.
      • Continuously review and prioritize work flow, work load & volumes, ensure all incoming work is process timely and attend to daily WIP reports to avoid any unattended items, and proactively manage escalated items to satisfactory resolution.
      • Responsible to Monitor Generic E-Mail Box and attend/respond for the end-to-end transaction.
      • Provide consistent service within established Client Service Commitments/Service Partner Commitments and seeks to improve the quality, timeliness and consistency of responses to clients.
      • Comply with Anti-Money Laundering guidelines and policies, Trade Restricted Countries and Risk Approval processes.

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must have:

      • 5-7 years Trade processing knowledge with a good knowledge of LC Issuance and Advising, Document Verification process.
      • Knowledge of product rules set by ICC (UCP 600; ISP98, URDG758, ISBP)
      • High level of proficiency on Trade 360
      • Knowledge of L/C swift message types 700 and payment 100 series)

      Nice-to-have:

      • Certified Document Credit Specialist (CDCS)
      • FITT Diploma
