Job Description

- Own the travel expense and audit process across GE Vernova, including partnering with IT on tool configuration, delivery of expense reporting processes
- Create, execute, and lead global travel processes utilizing proven best practices, state of the art process tools, and world-class suppliers
- Partner with the Global Travel Category Managers, other business or functional partners and stakeholders across GE Vernova and multiple time zones on the best travel strategy for the company
- Monitor adherence to GE Vernova’s travel policy, purchasing card policy, standards, and practices globally and ensure controls and audits are in place to identify and escalate T&L violations
- Manage GE Vernova’s relationship with strategic travel suppliers, including SAP Concur, Oversight Systems, and other travel or BPO suppliers
- Review customer service, accounting and audit systems and processes globally and eliminating variations (if any) & adherence to the enterprise standard
- Collaborate with HR, finance, compliance, and business partners to align Travel offerings to the travel policy and cross-functional delivery of the process (example- accounting for travel and purchase card expenses)
- Partner with HR and Security on Duty of Care requirements, including ensuring travel data visibility required to provide medical, safety and security assistance to travelers in need
- Drive benchmarking, best practices, and continuous improvement
- Monitor & report on Travel performance metrics, including BPO performance
- Report & analyze T&L spend patterns
- Implement travel processes with GE Vernova businesses (acquisitions, re-orgs, etc.)
- Complete GE Vernova’s overall separation activities, including ramping down GE’s legacy travel ecosystem and supporting a successful exit for GE Healthcare, GE Aerospace, and GE Vernova
- Interface with other teams to improve and simplify handoffs between Travel and the regions and/or other enterprise standards
- Significant experience in Sourcing, Operations, or equivalent consulting experience related to other professional services
- Demonstrated ability in leading organizational, process, and culture change
- Ability to travel to meet business needs (up to 30%)
- For roles not in USA, this role requires significant experience comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience), or equivalent experience/ knowledge
- For roles in USA, this role requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with significant experience in job family group/function), or equivalent experience/ knowledge
- FMP/CAS or equivalent leadership program
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Prior supplier management experience
- Prior audit experience
- Strong communicator - ability to work with all levels of leadership
- Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills in a cross functional and cross-cultural environment
- Strong accounting skills, knowledge of GE’s accounting policy and practices
- Solid controllership mindset and ability to consistently manage policy across functional lines
- Previous experience with T&L accounting processes, including familiarity with Concur data extracts interfacing to SAP and/or Oracle ERPs
- Previous experience implementing Concur, including employee training, communications

Role Summary/Purpose
This role is responsible for leading and/or being part of a global team of GE Vernova Travel Operations professionals. The role provides support in building a team of best-in-class talent and fostering an environment of strong collaboration and engagement. This role will establish relationships by building trust with internal and external stakeholders and developing and executing strategies to meet business outcomes. This position provides leadership and expertise for the day-to-day operations for GE’s travel expense reporting and audit processes, including managing strategic suppliers, reviewing/updating processes, and procedures, and interacting with travelers and business partners as required. This role will require coordination with the Business Unit Category Management teams to ensure a cohesive global strategy, coordinating sourcing efforts and policy, and executing initiatives. Partnerships with GE functional stakeholders in Business and Segment Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive total cost efficiency (TCE) are critical to enable the team to deliver excellent service levels to the organization.
