      Job Summary

      The Senior Treasury Manager for Capital Markets reports to the Treasury Director and will support the implementation of the company’s global capital markets activities including for our xScale Joint Venture initiatives. This includes analyzing, structuring, and executing financing initiatives; and preparing analysis and recommendations to optimize capital structure and cost of financing of our xScale business. The Senior Treasury Manager will be tasked with helping to manage a global portfolio of development financings, lead the execution of new financings, and represent the Treasury function in the corporate structuring of new Joint Ventures. This includes management of the debt structure, monitoring of previously executed credit facilities, and working with various stakeholders in resolving any potential issues. Senior Treasury Manager will also support capital markets projects for Equinix’s core business. This is a high visibility position, both internally and externally, and will require partnering with global external banks & financial institutions, Joint Venture partners, FP&A, Corporate Development, tax, finance, internal and external legal advisors, and accounting functions and presentations to Sr. Management playing a key role in supporting Equinix’s global growth.

      Responsibilities

      Capital Markets

      • Partner with corporate development and external advisors to evaluate alternative financing structures for the xScale business to optimize capital structure, cost of borrowing, and ongoing maintenance

      • Lead/Co-lead the structuring and negotiations of debt financings on behalf of Equinix’s xScale Joint Venture initiatives in coordination with the Joint Venture partner

      • Lead/Co-lead the structuring and negotiations of Equinix’s financing activity

      • Partner with legal, tax, accounting, and external advisors to analyze and lead the execution of xScale capital market transactions while ensuring compliance with financial covenants and any REIT requirements

      • Manage relationships with banking partners and utilize them to provide timely analysis and recommendations in support of evaluation of the financing strategy of our xScale Joint Venture

      • Maintain dialogue with our Joint Venture partners on key decisions and analysis related to xScale financings

      • Provide support with M&A and other initiatives for xScale and Equinix’s core business as needed

      • International travel may be required in support of execution of financing transactions

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting. MBA, CFA, and/or CPA preferred

      • Experience with real estate or project finance highly desirable

      • 6+ years of investment banking, private equity, treasury (capital markets focused), or corporate FP&A experience

      • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills

      • Good oral and written communication skills

      • Ability to meet project deadlines required. Project Management experience desirable

      • Experience with and understanding of international tax and treasury concepts and challenges

      • Leadership and collaboration skills to ensure Treasury objectives are communicated and understood

      • Understanding of M&A process and other cross functional Treasury initiatives are a plus

      • Ability to liaise with internal partners in Tax, Legal, Corporate Development, Real Estate, FP&A, Controllership and international business units

      • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
