      Exciting opportunity at the heart of the Underwriting team at Lloyds.

      We are looking for an operational, data improvement and/or process change focused individual to take a pro-active and solutions driven approach to evaluating and improving the operational processes and tools that allow Lloyd's to deliver the highest level of market wide portfolio performance.

      Partnering with senior stakeholders in the Underwriting team to ensure that a culture of continuous improvement is developed and adopted to lead the oversight of market wide underwriting profitability, trends and strategy from both syndicate and class of business perspective. You will use your initiative to lead projects, evaluate and improve measurable KPI's and evolve processes to mitigate operational risk and ensure effective controls.

      With an insurance operational background, the key skills needed are:

      • Self-motivated, resourceful, and highly proactive
      • Analytical capability, ability to manipulate data using Excel
      • Basic knowledge of the concepts of underwriting, risk and/or controls
      • Ability to pro-actively drive operational projects
      • Ability to challenge/communicate at a senior level
      • A proven ability to influence and able to find compromise when required
      • Evidence of operating in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders
      • Ability to challenge the status quo and manage constructive conflict
      • Solutions driven with a pro-active approach to improvement
