      Job Description:

      If you're a (seasoned) UX professional bored with working on "just one thing" and ready for a real challenge to sink your teeth into, the Broadcom Mainframe UX team could be for you. As an interaction designer, you'll need the courage to fail fearlessly, be a tireless and diplomatic advocate for our users, and obsess over ways to create the game-changing software of the future. You'll work with a multi-disciplinary team to create scenarios, workflows, intuitive interfaces, and easy-to-use software.

      As a business leader from the UX perspective, we are also looking for someone who is no stranger to readouts, set strategies based on business goals, and communicate across and up. Someone who is comfortable with a seat at the table and knows how to make it worthwhile for themselves and their teams.

      What You'll Do:

      • User Research

      • Roadmaps/user journeys

      • Product vision from a user's perspective

      • Best practice UX solutions

      • Conduct Design Thinking Workshops and gather essential data through customer outreach and solid user research

      • Take design risks that balance usability and innovation

      • Develop strong relationships with product teams and act as a trusted design advisor

      • Push the boundaries in interaction design, offering new ideas and solutions for products and patterns

      The ideal candidate will have:

      • 8+ years of experience in design

      • Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Design, Industrial Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related HCI discipline is preferred

      • Experience in at least one of the UX disciplines: interaction design, information architecture, and prototyping

      • Ability to juggle – metaphorically and perhaps physically

      • Experience in empowering awesome in challenging environments

      • Insatiable curiosity and an obsession with enterprise software design

      • Excellent communication skills, including experience speaking to technical (engineering, architects) and business (product managers) audiences

      Compensation and Benefits

      The annual base salary range for this position is $91,200 - $152,000

      This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
