Developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives
Establishing and enforcing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory Requirements
Defining and Implementing data management tools across the enterprise
Leading the design and implementation of scalable and efficient data architecture
Collaborating with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions into existing systems
Continuous review and optimisation of architecture platforms
Implementing and overseeing data quality assurance processes and frameworks
Identifying and addressing data quality issues, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Ensuring Enterprise wide KPI and Analytics outcomes are well supported
Delivering shared service analytics outcomes as well as partner with embedded analytics organisations (particularly in the WBD Streaming and Gaming divisions)
Developing COP/COE Best Practices, tools, and training
Activating and enabling the WBD Automation and AI Strategy
Defining, implementing and scaling shared platforms and services to support the scaling of Automation and AI practices at WBD
Providing visionary leadership to the Generative AI project teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
Building and leading a global high-performing data management team
Mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
Evaluating and managing relationships with external data vendors and partners
Negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective and high-quality data services
Leading large-scale data and automation transformation programs
Evangelising the use of automation and AI with WBD
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide strategic guidance
Working closely with executive leadership to communicate the value of data management initiatives and secure necessary resources
Promoting the continuous evolution of data capabilities with vendors and cross functional teams
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Systems)
Proven Leadership experience (15+ years) in data management, with a focus on strategy and governance
Experience driving a maturity and capability improvement program specific to Data, Data Quality or Automation outcomes
Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high performing teams
In-depth knowledge of data architecture, modelling, and analytics
Experience in implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks
Excellent interpersonal skills with aptitude to influence decision process and align risk strategy with business objectives
Experience in media or high-tech industry is highly beneficial

About This Opportunity
Based in our new Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad and reporting to the Global Chief Information Officer, as the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Data Services and Automation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing Warner Bros. Discovery’s enterprise data, automation, and AI strategy. This strategic leadership position requires a forward-thinking individual who can drive innovation, establish best practices, and ensure the effective management of data assets across the organisation. Leading a global team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust enterprise Data Management, Automation, and AI practices and processes to support our business objectives.
This newly established role within the Technology & Operations group signifies a strategic investment in advancing our shared service Data and Automation capabilities. Focused on the immediate imperatives of Automation and AI growth, our overarching objective is to elevate Data as a product within the WBD organisation. We envision our data to be exceptionally available, precise and accessible through contemporary platforms and protocols, paving the way for WBD’s next phase of growth. To spearhead our ambitions in enterprise data management, we are actively seeking a dynamic, professional Senior Vice President who will collaborate with existing Warner Bros. Discovery senior leaders to drive this transformative initiative. The agenda for change and transformation encompasses technology partner and tooling consolidation, as well as team location and hub consolidation.
