      J ob S ummary:

      The Senior Vice President, Finance (SVP, Finance) leads Church’s FP&A and Treasury functions and focuses on driving profit, managing cash, and overseeing capital structure obligations for Church’s Texas Chicken. The SVP, Finance will interact with all aspects and segments of the Church’s Texas Chicken business; examples include the international franchise team, the domestic franchise team, company-owned operations team, information technology (IT), human resources, marketing, legal, risk, and real estate/development. In addition, this position will oversee and steer the Budget process, working with the CFO, Executive Team, and Leadership Team to establish strategic initiatives and priorities that will drive growth, profitability and cash flow.

      The SVP, Finance will lead the team designing, analyzing, compiling, and distributing financial reports to management and operations teams as well as assisting the CFO and Executive and Leadership Teams in preparing reports and presentations for board and strategic planning meetings. They will design the annual budget process and intermediate forecasts, review variance analysis of actual to budget data and projections and provide financial analytical thought-leadership for results-driving analysis in partnership with all lines of business and levels of management.

      This leader will also oversee all capital structure-related deliverables, shape capital structure strategy to support business liquidity needs, and assess & recommend company-wide capital investment opportunities to meet / exceed returns targets.

      Key Duties/Responsibilities:

      • Deliver analysis from FP&A and Treasury functions to support and partner with all Church’s Texas Chicken lines of business and supporting departments to expand revenues, manage expenses, enhance cash flow and deliver investment returns
      • Support through analysis each Church’s Texas Chicken support center department
      • Provide Executive/Board Level financial reporting, analysis and presentations
      • Manage and provide ongoing, periodic management reporting
      • Oversee franchisee P&L database, both domestic and international, and deliver downstream insights and profit opportunities thru downstream stakeholders
      • Guide the annual budget process and annual multi-year strategic planning process / model
      • Provide self-driven analysis designed to help Church’s Texas Chicken reach its financial goals
      • Identify financial areas of concern that are currently being overlooked by a given department
      • Business owner for FP&A and Treasury tools
      • Ensure all capital structure and WBS reporting deadlines are managed and met
      • Evaluate and steer capital investment opportunities and monitor returns for approved investments
      • Manage ongoing relationships with IT both on and off shore to ensure system integrity and upgrades as necessary
      • Ad hoc reporting as requested
      • Perform other duties as assigned
      • Direct, Lead, and Manage a team of 2-4 direct reports and functions with 8-10 total team members

      Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):

      • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
      • More than 14 years finance experience with growing levels of responsibility
      • Independent, curious, and analytical thinker; analytical thought-leadership
      • Ability to identify and correlate data across separate systems
      • Strong partnership, collaboration and interpersonal skills. Able to work well cross-functionally
      • Ability to coach and manage activities of others
      • Detail-oriented
      • Continuous improvement mindset, with experience in streamlining and automating recurring processes
      • Preferred: Significant prior Restaurant and/or hospitality experience; Prior consulting or investment banking experience also valued
