- Serve in a Program Manager support role on mega rail transportation projects delivered via various delivery methods
- Provide guidance to Program Managers serving as Owner’s Representative, Delivery Partner, and or Independent PMO
- Provide support to Program Managers to develop RFP responses/proposals for rail transportation related projects
- Provide support to Program Managers to develop Project Management Plans to include Program Controls, Document Control, Design Management, Risk Management, Safety Management, Quality Control, and Environmental Compliance
- Provide support to Program Managers to develop solutions to project issues
- Assist with staff development which includes mentoring, training, coaching and professional development.
- Assist Program Managers with their management and successful execution of major projects within the transportation market, monitoring internal and external events, expenses, performance, and profitability.
- Assist Program Managers to develop and implement a communication strategy to increase the effectiveness of discipline-related processes, systems, and practices, and mitigating discipline-related risks.
- Serve as program management discipline subject matter expert to a variety of internal / external entities including Federal, State, and Local Agencies, Clients, Subcontractors, industry-related groups, and various government and community entities.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction
- PMP Certification
- Extensive project delivery experience as a Program Manager
- 15 years of relevant experience, approximately ten (10) years' experience in managing rail transit projects.
- Experience in alternative delivery methods, such as progress/phased design build and or CMAR
- Experience interfacing with multiple jurisdictions on transit projects of similar size and complexity.
- Experience in delivering at least one (1) CM/GC or CMAR and one (1) other alternative design delivery contract.
- Proven experience in the delivery of public rail transportation infrastructure projects, with construction costs exceeding $1 billion
- Advanced SME-level proficiency with transit and rail engineering principles, practices, process, standard of care, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. - MBA Degree (Operations Management)
- PE License
- Progressive Design/Build or CMAR project delivery experience as a Program Manager
- Experience in delivering Heavy and Light Rail Transit projects
