Due to continued growth within our Energy business, we are seeking a Senior Wind Engineer who will be based from any of our Australian locations. This role will see you become a leader, thereby enhancing your capabilities and the reputation of WSP’s Renewables team. You will collaborate with talented and diverse professionals working on iconic projects to drive future ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities. Energy Our Energy team helps clients maintain secure and reliable power supplies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver future energy schemes to help our cities transition to a more sustainable world. Our team has expertise in solar, wind, hydropower, thermal energy, waste-to-energy and bioenergy, battery storage, network distribution and systems and automation. What you’ll do: * Provide leadership and mentoring to junior staff. * Provide review and Quality Assurance of technical work completed by peers within the team. * Supporting and leading our wind pre-construction and operational energy yield assessments. * Supporting wind farm development services including designing wind monitoring plans and WSP’s met mast services. * Supporting cross functional projects involving technical due diligence and independent engineering. * Preparing technical reports, suitable for issue to client. About you: * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent. * Proven relevant industry experience undertaking wind energy assessments, power curve verification, operational yield assessments and supporting wind farm development. * Experience with WindPro required, WindFarmer, OpenWind including CFD based, or similar software preferred. * Knowledge and understanding of relevant IEC standards. * Experience working on utility scale wind farm projects. * Experience working on offshore wind projects desirable. * Strong communication skills and a high standard of written communication.
