      About Croydon

      The London Borough of Croydon proudly manages the Work & Health Programme on behalf of the South London Partnership (Croydon, Sutton, Richmond, Kingston and Merton).

      The Work & Health Programme provides a vital service to South London residents, enabling them to overcome barriers to employment. A £14 million South London Partnership programme known as Better Working Futures – this programme has already changed residents lives, providing employment and training for those further from accessing work.

      Started in March 2018 and delivered by Reed In Partnership, this programme supports people who have been out of work for over a year, have health problems or disabilities or face other kinds of barriers to employment.

      Participants receive one to one advice and support from a case worker, and guidance towards training and other services that can assist them to address the often-complex barriers they face to getting into and retaining work. The programme also provides a range of vocational and soft skills training, helping people get the skills they need to find a job. The team also provide a free recruitment services for employers, with a dedicated work coach who will help the employer to support their new employee.

      We are seeking a talented and skilled individual that can join a high performing team to provide contract management and programme & admin support to this essential project.

      The Senior Work & Health Programme Officer will work as part of the Employment, Skills & Economic Development team, ensuring we provide a stellar service to South London residents, contract managing this established programme.

      The post holder will need to demonstrate effective communication skills, literacy and numeracy skills, skills and knowledge in using IT packages Word, Excel, and Outlook, ability to prioritise and plan own workload, and attention to detail and accuracy is vital in this role.
