      Essential Functions:

      • Work directly with existing clients to manage and support Workday Human Capital Management technology solutions within their existing Workday business environments of increasing complexity levels with experience

      • Suggest, define and suggest HR processes and structure, in alignment with client’s business objectives and needs, enhancing clients’ experience and value of the Workday software of increasing complexity levels with experience.

      • Support the Talent work stream, including specific expertise in Compensation (Advanced Comp) and Performance review cycles, driving towards decisions and recommending best practices related to Workday functionality.

      • Identify strategies, risks, and options, and recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client/functional requirements.

      • Ability to troubleshoot, configure and test the Workday system with understanding of Workday’s best practices.

      • Experience in Workday Production support, including, but not limited to, researching, and resolving system problems, unexpected results or process flaws. Recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet business objectives.

      • Be a Workday administrator responsible for configuring the HR and Payroll domains including Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Payroll, Hiring, and Onboarding

      • Manage a backlog of Workday system enhancements and work with other functional teams to set prioritization and delivery timelines.

      • Liaise with the functional teams to manage the delivery cycle by collecting requirements, perform configuration and testing, deploy solutions, and perform ongoing support.

      • Provide application design recommendations that align with long and short-term IT and business strategies.

      • Work with other members of the Workday team to understand implications and considerations that have cross functional dependencies.

      • Perform any maintenance and configuration required during Workday’s bi-annual releases.

      • Research and track application features and functionality and identify opportunities that would provide value to the business.

      • Creatively solve business problems through knowledge of all areas of the Workday platform

      Duties/Responsibilities:

      • Maintain and pursue continuing education opportunities, such as training and certification exams.

      • Participate on internal projects.

      • Provide expertise and help to others, as needed, on projects.

      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

      Supervisory Responsibilities:

      • May conduct interviews.

      • Assigns duties and responsibilities and oversees workflow of project staff.

      • May conduct project performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

      Work Environment:

      The work environment is remote or on-site at a client location. While remote, employees are expected to provide office space for themselves with a professional background (including virtual backgrounds) and noise level. A reliable and consistent internet connection is required.

      Physical Requirements:

      • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.

      • Bending, sitting lifting, driving.

      Position Type and expected hours of work:

      • Full time work during Apex IT business hours and, at times, outside of business hours, if required.

      Required Education and Experience:

      (Education and experience based on requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity.)

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science -related field or commensurate experience required

      • At least 5 years of related experience required

      • Current holder of any of the following Workday Certifications: Workday HCM Core, Workday Advanced Compensation, Workday Talent Management, Workday Reporting and/or Workday Integrations.
