      ✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of at-risk youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Senior Youth Care Worker at Childhelp, Alice C. Tyler Village in Lignum, Virginia

      Childhelp is a psychiatric residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children aged 5-14 with mild to severe trauma or neglect, psychiatric disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our unique location on a 270-acre farm provides a nurturing treatment setting with a variety of therapy resources. We bring the light of love and healing into the lives of countless abused and neglected children, and those suffering from psychiatric and behavioral disorders.       Pay: Starting at $21 an hour and negotiable based on education and experience.

      What you will do: Senior Youth Care Workers provide safety and around-the-clock supervision of at-risk youth at a residential treatment facility. In this role, you will provide for the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual counseling and behavioral/social/physical and educational skill development. Senior Youth Care Workers provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the youth’s needs; monitor and document behaviors and activities; and participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities. You will collaborate with other professional staff to establish and meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan. You will be looked at as a leader within the cottage from the youth and from other Youth Care Workers.

      To be considered you should: Be at least 21 years of age ~ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred ~ At least 1-year experience in a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

      Schedule: Workweeks consist of 3 weekdays and 1 weekend day, which is a 14-hour shift. Available shifts include a morning shift, an evening shift, and an overnight shift.
