  RESPONSIBILITIES

  As part of our unit Business Reporting you take over the position as Senior/Executive Controller in Cost Sharing (m/f/d).

  • In your new role, you are responsible for the qualitative and timely execution and monitoring of global, standardized, and intra-group allocation of indirect costs in line with BASF Transfer Pricing guidelines.
  • You are the main contact person for internal partners in functional and operational units in the end-to-end process for internal indirect cost accounting, intercompany cost sharing and service charging.
  • In addition, you ensure compliance with guidelines and legal requirements (compliance) and you are responsible for the regular implementation of established controls and communication with internal and external auditors.
  • You implement best practice solutions in close collaboration with the respective stakeholders.
  • Besides that, you support Cost Sharing Business Partner and ensure the knowledge management requirements, including documentation, creation and execution of training.
  • You collaborate and contribute to innovation topics, including technical guidance and root cause analysis Cost Sharing Business Partner owner and team members.
  • Moreover, you support global Cost Sharing projects for further development, optimization, and service processes and you assist trainings of Cost Sharing Team and local cost center responsible.
  • You provide application support to the Cost Sharing Business Warehouse and Tool and support the successful transformation and development of Cost Sharing applications.
  • You reinforce the requirements to build the existing Cost Sharing processes in SAP S4/HANA.
  • Finally, you contribute enhancements in data correctness from a reporting perspective.

  QUALIFICATIONS

  • degree in Business Administration or Business Informatics with a focus on Accounting/Finance or Controlling
  • background in tax related topics and a first professional experience is a plus
  • strong understanding of financial statements including profit and loss statements
  • familiarity with analyzing the development of financial KPIs
  • strong command of MS Office Excel is a must, initial experience in the SAP environment (SAP R/3 or S/4HANA) or Business Warehouse systems is welcome
  • good communication skills in English, knowledge of other language is an advantage
  • openness to learn different technology applications (e. g. VBA, Power BI or UiPath)
  • auditing experience is considered an asset
