      What’s interesting about this role?
      We are seeking a talented and experienced Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEO, content optimization, and content strategy, with a passion for producing high-quality financial content. As an Editor at GOBankingRates, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our search rankings, increasing traffic, and ensuring the publication of top-tier financial content.

      How will you make an impact?

      • Publish an average of 20-35 pieces of top-tier financial content per week, targeting high-intent audiences.
      • Create high-quality content unique to our brand, utilizing a range of formats including columns, infographics, calculators, podcast episodes, and original studies and surveys.
      • Ensure content mentioning clients is current and accurately reflects the latest information.
      • Implement SEO best practices to increase search rankings and traffic for GOBankingRates content.
      • Monitor and analyze analytics tools to glean actionable insights and make informed editorial decisions.
      • Provide feedback to writers and teammates to improve content quality and process efficiency.
      • Collaborate with the SEO specialists to develop briefs for writers, preparing them for assignments.
      • Handle updates and edits to content promptly based on internal and client feedback.
      • Work with the outreach team to ensure excellent content is promoted by sources, experts, and authorities.
      • Support the editorial team and collaborate with the wider content team as needed.
      • Create posts in the content management system and update our tracking system with relevant information.

      What Will You Bring to Us?

      • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a writing and/or editing role, producing high- volume content for an online publication in a fast-paced environment.
      • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
      • Expertise in SEO best practices, creating content with EEAT, and recent industry trends.
      • Proven experience in SEO, content optimization, and content strategy.
      • Strong editorial judgment and ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
      • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
      • Proficiency with analytics tools to monitor and assess content performance.
      • Goal oriented, with a focus on meeting deadlines and upholding quality standards.
      • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
      • Familiarity with content management systems and tracking tools.
      • Expertise in personal finance content is a plus.

      The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 per year. Pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
