Job Description
- Req#: REF2959X
- Optimising on-page elements on a live site (e.g. headlines, content, metadata)
- Topic research, content gap analysis, plan and execute content strategy for events (Melbourne Cup, Married at First Sight, Grammys, etc) to increase organic traffic and rankings
- Running training programs for the Editorial teams on SEO best practices
- Daily/weekly/monthly reporting, analysis, troubleshooting, brainstorming solutions, presentations
- Ongoing research of emerging trends and technology in digital content delivery, staying on top of Google algorithm updates and latest news
- Experience in researching keywords and user search behaviour that leads to insights for content creation, preferably in media/publishing
- Experience with website SEO in successfully developing and executing SEO campaigns; agency experience preferred, but not a must
- Experience with analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Moz, Screaming Frog, SEMrush
- Experience with Content Management Systems such as WordPress
- Knowledge and understanding of HTML, Javascript, CSS
- Knowledge and understanding of paid traffic channels in Search, Display, Video, Apps, Social
- Strong stakeholder management and time management skills

Job Description
We are seeking a talented graduate level SEO Specialist to join the nine.com.au Product team.
The Product team is responsible for using audience insights to define the future of the nine.com.au digital product landscape, as well as acquiring new audiences for our sites and apps. Our vision is to make the nine.com.au network of sites the #1 news, sport, entertainment and lifestyle site in Australia and this role is instrumental in delivering this goal.
The SEO Specialist will report into the Head of Search, Digital and work closely with the Editorial teams within 9News, 9Honey, Wide World of Sports and 9Entertainment to increase referrals from all major search networks and emerging search technologies.
