Welcome guests warmly and establish a professional rapport
Present menus, explain specials, and offer thoughtful recommendations
Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into POS system
Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, unobtrusive service throughout the meal
Guide guests through the wine and cocktail list with confidence and clarity
Respond promptly and professionally to any guest requests or concerns
Follow sequence of service and pacing to maintain flow and guest satisfaction
Ensure tables are properly set, cleared, and reset throughout the shift
Coordinate with runners, bussers, and kitchen for smooth service execution
Maintain clean and organized station and adhere to all sanitation standards
Close checks accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card payments as needed
Attend all pre-shift meetings and training sessions
Collaborate with hosts, bar team, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
Support fellow team members as needed during busy periods
Maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards
2+ years of experience as a server in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant
Strong knowledge of food, wine, and classic cocktails
Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills
Polished presence with a guest-first mindset
Familiarity with POS systems and basic wine service etiquette
Food Handler and Alcohol Safety Certification required or obtainable before start
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Warm, intuitive communicator with strong memory and attention to detail
Ability to handle pressure and busy service environments gracefully
Commitment to providing memorable and personalized guest experiences
Team player with a proactive attitude and reliable work ethic
Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces
Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift

Job Description
The Server is responsible for providing exceptional table service with precision, warmth, and attention to detail. This role requires strong food and beverage knowledge, the ability to read guests’ needs, and seamless communication with support staff and the kitchen. Servers at La Boca embody hospitality, ensuring each guest feels seen, welcomed, and cared for from the moment they sit down until their final farewell.
This is a full-time position with an hourly compensation rate of $18.00 an hour plus tips.
