      Description

      Responsible for the ongoing installation, maintenance and support of Server and Network Hardware/Software for system availability, stability, security and growth.

      This position is also responsible for troubleshooting server, network, storage, applications and escalated end-user issues.

      Analyze existing systems; proactively develop, communicate and implement action plans for updating and improving these systems.

      Provide assistance to end-users as needed.

      Some after-hours system maintenance as necessary.

      Rotational on-call support.

      Some travel between local offices required.


      Shift: M-F 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

      Requirements

      • Minimum Associate degree in Information Systems or Computer Science. Prefer Bachelor’s degree.
      • Minimum experience: three years with Associate, one year with Bachelor.
      • Experience with Windows Servers required.
      • Prefer Microsoft certifications.
      • Experience installing/configuring servers and/or network equipment. Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, in accordance with hospital/project requirements.
      • Knowledge or experience with any of the following technologies:
        Backup administration, scheduling and troubleshooting
        Cisco Networking Infrastructure
        Cisco security appliances: ASA or ACS
        Cisco UCS
        Cisco VPN
        Disaster Recovery procedures
        DNS & DHCP
        Internet Information Services
        Imprivata
        Linux Knowledge a plus but not required
        Microsoft Exchange and Lync
        Microsoft SQL Server
        Network Security/Firewall/Infrastructure Security
        Putty, WinSCP, PowerShell
        SAN – Storage Area Network
        vCenter server configuration and management with vSphere
        Vmware
        VOIP Cisco or ShoreTel
        Windows Active Directory or LDAP & Group Policies
        WSUS
      • Escalation point for PC Support and Help Desk.
      • Documenting System Configuration, Policies, Procedures and Standards
      • Maintain accurate inventory of systems and equipment
      • Ability to manage multiple complex project simultaneously.
      • Formal training or direct experience with printers, desktops, laptops, server and network equipment installation required.
      • Analytical Thinker.
      • Must be able to explain technical aspects of duties performed to Director and co-workers.
      • Excellent Customer Service skills.
      • Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
      • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
      • Nature of job requires that much of the work be done in user areas. Requires extensive work on computers, printers, servers and network equipment.
      • External and internal applicants, as well as position incumbents, must be able to perform the essential job specific functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined by the organization on a case by case basis.
      • Normally work first shift.
      • Member of after-hours on-call team.
      • Requires residence within 30 minutes of IMH.
