      Provides a broad range of supervisory, quality, administrative, and program support for subsidized housing properties Service Coordinators. Coordinates general housing services, research and implement supportive housing resources through the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Service Coordinator Program and Samaritas’ Comprehensive Care Management for the benefit of all eligible residents. Provide supervision to service coordinators.

      Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinate, and implement various administrative and program support functions to assure assigned Service Coordinator programs operate within agency, affordable living programming, HUD and other regulatory guidelines and requirements. Work with service coordinators in program planning, development, analyzing trends, developing strategic plans, outcomes, and measurements.
    • Assure development, implementation and evaluation of operational guidelines for assigned senior, family and disabled subsidized housing programs’ needs, market conditions and federal or state requirements.
    • Provide on-going leadership to staff. Participate in recruitment and retention efforts, including interviewing and hiring; assist in preparation and implementation of relevant professional development training for Service Coordinators.
    • Coordinate each property’s compliance with the agency’s performance management and quality programs. Work with Samaritas Director of Quality to facilitate and coordinate Council of Accreditation standards for Service Coordination activities during the year; assist Director of Quality with producing compliance information and reports every three years for agency certification. Ensure and maintain agency required quality standards and reporting general program operations throughout the year.
    • Assist in the development, negotiation, and approval of grants, leases and contracts relevant to housing program operations and the development of new business opportunities for Service Coordination.
    • Conduct periodic corporate compliance, service coordinator audits; report findings and recommend corrective actions to Director, Affordable Living and Director of Quality; follow up on reporting and corrective actions to assure quality services in administration and handling of Service Coordination needs.
    • Represent Samaritas Service Coordination services at industry meetings as requested; work with appropriate professional associations/groups, social agencies, community councils, to explain the service coordination program operations and benefits to resident populations.
    • Provide or coordinate emergency office coverage for service coordinators, if needed.

      Job Qualifications

      Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

      • Bachelor’s degree in social work or human services related or equivalent education and experience.
      • Master’s degree in related field preferred

      Experience

      • Two years’ experience with HUD’s subsidized housing program or case management experience. Service Coordination experience preferred but not required.

      Additional Work Requirements

      • Unrestricted, valid driver’s license with good driving record. Reliable personal transportation with proof of current automobile insurance.
