As a Service Engineer you will contribute to the overarching implementation and operation of the critical digital investments processes of Deutsche Bank’s Online Banking platform in the Google Cloud, following the "you built it you run it" principle.
As part of an agile development squad within a GCP based ecosystem and Microservice Architecture, you will be designing and implementing data architecture and multi-channel API solutions in align with the agreed Investments feature Roadmap.
You ensure that your technical solutions are fulfilling the high quality expectations, are scaleable and able to handle a frequent high Load scenarios without any user impact, while not compromising on cost-efficiency, architecture/api guildlines, reusability and sustainability.
You always keep the need of our end customer in focus. Yor are curios to understand the business and customer need and logic for creating the best technical solutions for our customers and you are ready to represent your opinion in the team and towards various stakeholders to reach the best possible outcome and to proactively support product development.
Through contribution in technology guilts and communities you identify synergies and actively shape and develop our standards and solutions beyond the invetsments squads for the whole Tribe.
You contribute to stable production through monitoring, customer complain analysis and accompany our regular application releases.
Hands-on experience with applications run cloud ecosystems such as Google Cloud as well as with Docker / Kubernetes in combination with with GKE or similar technology
Expert knowledge in architecting and developing in the Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Spanner, Big Query, Pub Sub, Dataflow, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Functions), designing Event Driven and Microservice Architectures and in all relevant technologies, such as Jakarta EE, Quarkus, Node.js.
Experience managing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), testing/QA tools (e.g. JUnit, Serenity, Cucumber, Selenium), CI/CD management (e.g. Jgithub workflows, github actions)
Hands on experience on working in a multinational agile development environment and with related tools: Jira, Confluence
Proactive attitude and collaborative Team player mindset paired with self confidence.
Not loosing your cool and keep your eye for details even in stressful situations where time matters.
Ability to communicate technological concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
The candidate will be part of the transformation program of the company, transformation from organizational / methodology point of view but also being part of the technical evolution of the systems.
