      The Service Shop Manager is responsible for managing the Service department team and handling customer service interactions, reports, repairs, and warranty work. The Service Shop Manager ensures excellent customer service, maintains strong relationships with customers and third-party vendor’s and ensures repeat customers. In addition, the Service Shop Manager will be responsible for power equipment sales, including merchandising and inventory control.

      Pay Range: $20.00-$23.00 depending on experience.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      1. Interact with customers, listen to their questions and concerns regarding their service repairs, and provide timely responses.
      2. Educate customers about the company’s products and services.
      3. Schedule appointments, take orders, monitor service progress, calculate charges, and process payments
      4. Assist with routine small engine maintenance and repairs.
      5. Research, gather and prepare necessary information for warranty claims within time frame allowed by manufacturers.
      6. Manage warranty claims through the approval process to ensure payment.
      7. Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and distributors.
      8. Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of assigned department product needs and other product information.
      9. Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
      10. Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members.
      11. Must be able to perform in a productive and positive manner in high stress and fast paced work environment with minimal supervision.
      12. Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain proper certifications that may be required.
      13. Loading and unloading equipment, machine assembly, and installation of equipment.
      14. Perform on-site evaluations and equipment demos.
      15. Willing to travel for trade shows and training opportunities.
      16. Must represent Runnings in a professional and positive manner.
      17. Operate equipment such as forklifts, delivery truck, etc.
      18. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

      1. Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
