- Minimum 5 years of experience as supervisor in the Heavy Equipment Industry.
- Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate or equivalent considered an asset.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.

Responsibilities
Health & Safety:
• Promote a proactive health and safety culture within the organization.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company policies, including the development and adherence to H&S documentation (e.g., codes of practice, risk assessments).
• Liaise with Facilities Management on safety-related matters when necessary.
• Lead housekeeping initiatives and maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.Workflow Management:
• Oversee job allocation and workflow within the workshop, including daily job scheduling and labor assignment.
• Coordinate operational and human resources to effectively manage workshop jobs and meet deadlines.
• Ensure timely ordering and availability of parts and materials for each job.
• Support quoting, project management, material procurement, and perform quality assurance checks.
• Provide oversight and review job estimates to ensure accuracy and feasibility.Communication & Customer Relations:
• Provide regular job progress updates, including timely communication of any delays or concerns to customers and stakeholders.
• Act as a technical advisor on key projects and other business operations as requested.
• Work closely with management to provide clients with accurate job status updates and maintain open communication channels.
• Collaborate with the team and management to address customer complaints and recommend appropriate solutions.Resource Management:
• Develop and maintain systems for recording, filing, and storing client inquiry information.
• Mentor and supervise apprentices, supporting their development through participation in the LCA Apprenticeship Program.
• Assist management with short- and long-term labor forecasting to ensure adequate staffing levels.Competencies
