      Job Title: Service Technician


      Job Description

      As a Building Automation System Controls Installer / Start-Up Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and start-up of Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems for HVAC applications in large commercial and distribution center buildings across Central Tennessee, Northern Alabama, and Southern Kentucky.

      Responsibilities

      • Install DDC controls for HVAC systems, including controllers, sensors, valves, and damper motors.
      • Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (CAT5e/CAT6, 18AWG to 22AWG) and communication wiring.
      • Perform light EMT conduit installation (½” & ¾”) in mechanical rooms.
      • Assist with controller setup and start-up, including addressing, configuration, and power validation.
      • Ensure proper operation of installed controls and troubleshoot as needed.
      • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors.
      • Focus on installation and cabling during the initial phase.
      • Physically install control components like sensors, actuators, and controllers.
      • Set up and configure control systems using software and hardware interfaces.
      • Develop and implement control sequences and logic using specific software.
      • Diagnose and resolve issues with the control system, including hardware and software malfunctions.
      • Ensure sensors and actuators are properly calibrated for accurate measurements and control.
      • Verify the proper operation of the installed system and ensure it meets the project requirements.
      • Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the long-term reliability of the system.
      • Follow safety protocols while working with electrical and mechanical equipment.

      Essential Skills

      • Understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and network communication protocols.
      • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
      • Familiarity with control system programming languages and software.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience in electrical, mechanical, troubleshooting, HVAC control, installation, and repair.
      • Ability to update and maintain systems.

      Work Environment

      Service mainly climate-controlled distribution and government facilities in the mid Tennessee area. Work involves hands-on fieldwork in various locations, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience.

      Job Type & Location

      This is a Permanent position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $63000.00/yr.
