- Work closely with the service manager, operations lead and stakeholders to ensure all new services are fit for purpose and key service deliverables are in place before service go-live
- Be the point of contact for Services throughout the duration of the transition of new services and changes to existing Services into Run the Bank
- Track and report regularly on key service deliverables throughout the delivery of the new service using the Service Acceptance Criteria process and tools
- Work with projects to define key service artefacts, including Service Level Agreements, Support Models, knowledge articles, end user materials (e.g. user guides, registration instructions, FAQ documents)
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the design and implementation of Service Request, Incident, Inventory Management, Billing processes & service and operational documentation is delivered, including but not limited to work instructions and knowledge documentation.
- Support any end user testing activities, participating in testing and also co-ordinating test activities.
- Build good relationships with all the stakeholders involved in delivering the service, including internal & external teams, programmes and stakeholders.
- Ensure that an overall approach for service validation is defined at the outset of all solution delivery projects
- Ensure validation tests have been performed successfully according to the project plan
- Work with stakeholders to oversee successful roll-out of Collaboration changes into “live” environment
- Work with key project resources and stakeholders to determine the completion of the Service Acceptance Criteria checklist, paying particular attention to the Service Transition elements
- Ensure appropriate service documentation is created and accepted by stakeholders prior to the introduction of a new service
- Work with stakeholders to ensure transition risks are identified, documented, understood and mitigated
- Ensure that the Go / No-Go processes is adopted by all projects at the relevant points throughout service launch, roll out and exit
- Confirm appropriate levels of testing are carried out (test phases – unit, system, integration, and functional testing & acceptance) to build confidence in the deployment
- Ensure that all required testing deliverables are created including testing approach, testing scenarios, conditions, and expected results, test scripts, and testing control sheets
- Work with the Stakeholders to secure the requisite sign-offs against test results
- High level of knowledge of all major internal support functions and services
- Influence stakeholders on issues that arise for cross-functional groups or teams to facilitate agreements
- Experience using risk management processes and tools
- Actively seeks ways to understand, mitigate or reduce risks, drawing on expert advice, risk assessment, and management reports
- Analytical skills, able to report, trend and present data
- Excellent communicator
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Previous experience Service Transition and associated processes
- Build and maintain trust-based relationships with our cross functional teams to ensure that change control procedures are adhered to and benefits are achieved.
- Provide Leadership to key strategic initiatives across the Bank. This involves building and developing great teams to deliver innovative technology enabled change.
- Responsible for delivering innovative technology enabled change to all Barclays colleagues transforming our Infrastructure Services Globally whilst enabling colleagues to thrive in their roles
- ITIL Certification in Service Transition or Release, Control and Validation
- Project Management experience with PMP or Prince2 Certification a bonus
- Experience with Process Design and Process Improvement
- A wareness of Barclay’s processes and general organization structure.
- ITIL Foundation Certified
- MS Office and Excel proficient
