- Designing, testing, and modifying programming code

- Training end-users on procedures and the use of supported IT systems
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four (4) years' of recent and relevant experience in ServiceNow system administration, ServiceNow development, and designing, building and maintain enterprise-level websites in large institutions.
- Experience coding efficient, object-oriented, and modularized software.
- Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow, WordPress, Pantheon WebOps Platform as well as HTML, CSS and associated frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind), PHP, JavaScript and associated frameworks (JQuery, Angular JS), JSON, XML, and REST.
- Demonstrated experience working with relational databases and/or database driven applications.
- Experience designing and implementing solutions that ensure security, integrity, scalability, and consistency of critical user data.
- Experience with interface and interaction design including inclusive design practices (e.g., AODA standards, WCAG guidelines, responsive design).
- Strong analytical, estimating, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Strong communications skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and efficiently both verballyand in writing.
- Proven track-record of client-centric application design (use cases, personas, etc.).
- Familiarity with SDLC practices (DevOps, Test Driven Development, etc.).
- Strong time management skills to permit simultaneous action on many tasks, many of which will demand timely completion.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, business analysis practices, and process design.
- Strong commitment to high quality service, strong initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to pick up new technologies and apply to a wide range of projects.
- ITIL Foundations (or higher) certification; ServiceNow certifications - Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience working in a structured change management environment (CAB or equivalent body); Experience in an agile SDLC environment.
- Familiarity with the University of Toronto environment, governance, and policies; Familiarity with user research and analysis methods.
- Product management or product delivery experience.
- Familiarity with creating high fidelity mock ups for sites using tools like Figma.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics for web site traffic reporting and analysis.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and information management practices.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence forsoftware development work flows.

About us:
The Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration (EASI) department within the Chief Information Officer’s (CIO) Division is a central department responsible for all matters pertaining to the development, maintenance, and effectiveness of the core administrative management and student systems at the U of T. Included within these responsibilities are all central SAP systems, such as Financial Services, Human Resources, Research Administration and Procurement; the central U of T Student System (ROSI); approximately 40 related vendor and specialized web applications, as well as central Business Intelligence and Document Management applications.
Your opportunity:
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Enterprise Shared Services, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative team focused on delivering transformational technology solutions to the University. Through your efforts in this position, you will directly help improve the University’s information and services management initiatives.
You will be responsible for designing, coding, and delivering solutions using a number of web based content and service management platforms to help improve University information and business processes. As a member of a small, full-service team responsible for delivering customized solutions to internal clients across the University, you will be exposed to all aspects of the solution development lifecycle. This is a unique opportunity to not only develop highly sought after platform and development skills but to also lead consulting, business analysis, project management, training, operational, maintenance, and support activities for solutions delivered to our clients.
You will work cooperatively with a team of dynamic technical specialists to apply creative and novel approaches to solution development and service delivery. As part of this team, you will be focused on ensuring the efficient, effective, and secure use of resources while developing the highest quality solutions for faculty, staff, and students across the University.
