      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Optimize high-performance, robust motion control designs and develop real-time servo firmware for enterprise-class hard disk drives.
      • Architect a resilient servo system that compensates for environmental factors like vibration, shock, voltage, and temperature.
      • Design, develop, and maintain tools for characterization and qualification of servo designs.
      • Support failure analysis for integration, manufacturing, and reliability testing teams.
      • Collaborate to improve design robustness, reduce failures, and enhance performance across all conditions.
      • Evaluate new technologies and their integration with servo systems through simulation and prototyping.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED

      • MS/PhD in EE or ME
      • At least 5 years of servo-controller design experience for mechanical dynamic systems, including feedback and feedforward design tradeoffs.
      • 5+ years of experience with MATLAB
      • C/C++ coding experience

      SKILLS

      • Strong organizational skills
      • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
      • Effective global communication skills
