      The Opportunity:

      Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Set Up Operator for our Performance Materials organization.

      This Paris, KY role is full-time, on-site; Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM- 6:00 PM.

      Who you are:

      Minimum Education:

      • High school / GED

      Required Experience (2+ yrs):

      • Manufacturing
      • Math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
      • Adhering to safety precautions and PPE (personal protection equipment) requirements.
      • Ensuring the lines are set-up and running to the production schedule in accordance to the work orders.
      • Line and pump configuration
      • Cleaning and inspecting lines
      • Performing line changeovers
      • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment
      • Ensuring that items that fail checks are addressed
      • Keeping accurate production records.
      • Monitoring and assisting with assigned packaging operators.
      • Working with the Quality Assurance Department to understand, recognize and rectify quality issues.
      • Collaborating with Supervisors and Maintenance teams to determine equipment set-up and operations.
      • Taking the authority and responsibility to stop the line and notify QA of a potential contamination event.
      • Performing the duties of both a Packaging Operator and Material Handler.
      • Complying with cGMP requirements.
      • Managing hazardous and universal waste according to local, state and federal regulations.

      Preferred Experience:

      • Completing lock- out, tag- out training
      • Mechanical
      • Handling chemicals
      • Safety training
      • Powered industrial vehicle (PIV) (IE: pallet jacks and forklift)

      Delivering results against complex business and technology initiatives this role will prepare, setup, weigh, package, fill, and label bulk materials in accordance with cGMP, procedures. This includes operating production scales, including verification and calibrations, and handling hazardous materials using all appropriate and mandatory safety gear. The successful candidate will utilize business level organizational, prioritization, and problem analysis skills with the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Will perform other duties as assigned.
