- Supports, counsels, and motivates students to meet or exceed grade-level standards; draws on personal knowledge of the individual student's personality, background, and interests when discussing learning issues, achievements, and conduct in class.
- Adheres to and, when applicable, implements safety and security procedures; contributes to creating a school climate conducive to learning, achievement, and citizenship.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- Two year trial period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
- You will be required to sign a mobility agreement, be available for worldwide placement, and be willing to rotate to any DoDDS or DDESS location.

0416 - Teacher Severe/Multiple Disabilities, ES: A major in special education or a minimum of 30 semester hours in special education is required. Course work must include a minimum of 12 semester hours directly related to severe or multiple disabilities. Typical courses include the following: the nature of intellectual disability, use of adaptive equipment, augmentative communication and equipment, adaptive physical education, and family support.About the company
