      The Role
      Ventia are currently seeking to engage a Field Safety Advisor to join our SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) team within our Rig & Wells division. Reporting to the SHEQ Manager, this role will see you based in the field across the Pilbara region supporting our Minerals Drilling Operations team. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for promoting safe work practises, you will play a pivotal role assisting the onsite crew with the implementation of health and safety management systems, procedures and processes.

      This is a casual ongoing position working 12hour days on a 2:2 roster with accommodation and flights provided from Perth. There will also be a company car provided on-site for all work-related travel.

      The pay rate for this position is from $577.00 to $659.00 per day based on experience.

      Key duties, but not limited to:

      • Implementing and managing robust safety management systems based on best practices and regulations
      • Conducting investigations into incidents and accidents to determine root causes and contributing factors
      • Overseeing injury management processes, including reporting, investigation, and communication
      • Documenting findings, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring implementation
      • Collaborating to develop Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) actions to address safety gaps and drive continuous improvement

      Requirements:

      • Driver’s Licence
      • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
      • Experience with ICAM & Taproot
      • Experience in a field-based safety advisor role conducting and leading incident investigations
      • Understanding of safety risks and control processes
      • Have strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and be a team player
      • The proven ability to fault find and troubleshoot under pressure
      • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – Highly regarded
      • Return to work coordination experience – Highly regarded
