      SUMMARY

      We are looking for world-class talent to join our team as a Production Supervisor in Lake Charles, LA.       DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      May include, but are not limited to, the following:

      • Lead shift of operators through routine and emergency situations
      • Champions Plant Safety Policies and Procedures
      • Monitor process operations and work to ensure environmental compliance
      • Trains new workers in operation of equipment.
      • Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients/supplies as necessary to meet delivery schedules.
      • Support cost management and reliability initiatives
      • Create and maintain clear operator expectations on policies and procedures
      • Maintains thorough documentation on personnel and operations
      • Assist operators in troubleshooting activities
      • Promote continuous improvement through ownership
      • Ability to Support Management and other supervisors

      EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

      • High school diploma or equivalent and seven years of experience
      • Manufacturing or Industrial experience preferred
      • Has performed Step-Up Job
      • Willing to Support and Train Personnel
      • Communication, decision making and leadership abilities
      • Ability to Work with Other Departments in Plant (Maintenance, Traffic, Environmental, etc)
      • Computer Literate including Microsoft Suite
      • Successful candidates must satisfy background screening, including motor vehicle record screening, drug testing & pre-employment physical requirements before starting work

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS

      While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT

      The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as normally based in an office. Some of the work may be required in the operating units which can require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs and elevators. Travel including air travel or auto travel may occasionally be required.
