      Do you love leading teams in a dynamic environment? Reporting to the General Manager, you will oversee employees within all operational areas within the GTA Service Centre.

      About the Role

      • Plan, organize, schedules and allocates resources to meet workload requirements (shipping, receiving, returns, – ensure all areas involved are staffed and equipped to meet service requirements)

      • Oversee staff by selection, advise, and train staff, assign and monitor work, maintain harmonious relations between staff and management, adherence to LCBO policies and procedures, conduct performance appraisals, staff meetings, issuing discipline, handling grievances, control overtime and operational expenses, maintain attendance and vacation schedules, etc

      • Lead and plan inventory counts, and cycle counts for the purpose of stock reconciliation and space management

      • Maintain a working relationship with service providers (cartage, conveyor, WMS, and security)

      • Help prepare department budget and monitoring of monthly variances

      • Ensure that sound safety and work practices are carried out within the depot and that all employees observe and comply with rules and regulations within the Occupational Health and Safety Act

      • Ensure that all work is performed in an environmentally responsible manner with appropriate awareness of environmental possible effects of decisions made and actions performed

      About You

      • Post-secondary education in supply chain, business, IT, inventory, or equivalent experience

      • 3+ years management experience in a distribution WMS operation, including experience at the supervisory level in a unionized environment

      • Knowledge of distribution, shipping and delivery procedures and Occupational Health & Safety Act; understanding of warehouse/depot management fundamentals and inventory management

      • Knowledge of conveyor systems and materials handling equipment; Prepare related operational administrative work (i.e. records, forms and documentation)

      • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Access. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, using tact and diplomacy, along with strong employee relations skills, are important to this position

      • Experience that would be considered an asset: System/facility startups, Project management, Retail, Audits (Operational/Compliance)

      • Must be available to work and may be rotated through all shifts, daytime, afternoons and overnight shifts. Working 40 Hours per week with the requirement for occasional overtime
