      Stockton

      Shift Technician

      The company is seeking suitably qualified engineers to work at the Stockton Depot.

      This is working 39 hours/week on a rota system.

      Candidates should have completed a PSV or HGV apprenticeship.

      The main duties of the post are to maintain vehicles in accordance with the Company’s policy and repair specifications and working to the highest standards set by the company and DVSA.

      Other duties will include the diagnosis and rectification of vehicle faults with a first time fix policy. You will also be required to recognise and report vehicle component defects or symptoms, which are likely to affect the reliability and safety of the vehicle.

      We are looking for a qualified PCV/HGV Fitter with experience working on commercial heavy vehicles. You must possess a full UK driving licence. A PCV licence would be preferred but training to obtain a PCV licence is available after a qualifying period.

      The successful candidate will be a motivated team player and with the ability to work effectively unsupervised and use their own initiative.
