  SUMMARY OF POSITION:The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is an integral role within the organization. This individual will report to the Warehouse Manager and will work closely with team members from all departments within the company.
  KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain schedule of incoming & outgoing shipments.
  • Receive purchase orders, print pallet tags, and work closely with buyers, vendors, and carriers as well as receiving teammates to ensure that the proper purchase orders are received according to the schedule.
  • Communicate receipts of all products timely to appropriate leaders.
  • Communicate no-calls, no-shows, and rescheduled shipments. Ensure that shipments received in advance are also communicated timely.
  • Verifies shipments per order requirements.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Operations to optimize scheduling
  • Handle communications with external suppliers to ensure timely receipt of orders
  • Return defective raw materials/components to vendors
  • Coordinate with freight companies for pick-up and delivery; research cost reduction
  • Coordinate monthly customer inventory and communicate inventory reports to customers
  • Assist with cycle counts and year-end inventory
  • Collaborate with coworkers to ensure business goals are met
  • Assist in the management of the Material Review Board list and inventory
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Forklift Operations 75% of time and Clerk work 25% of the time

  Shift Assigned: 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday

  Salary Range: $19.50-$22/hr

  Requirements

  EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2 + years of relevant experience
  • 2 + Experience driving a Reach and Sit down forklift is required

  EDUCATION:

  • BA/BS degree preferred

  ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:

  • Math skills.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively across the organization in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to effectively prioritize tasks
  • May be required to work a flexible schedule.
  • Must have a valid driver's license

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. at any time
