      The Shipping & Receiving Clerk 1 assembles and prepares items for shipment and receives incoming shipments. The incumbent maintains detailed reports of items received, and deliveries and distributions made.

      CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
      1. Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
      2. Unpacks materials and supplies and ensures accuracy.
      3. Makes delivery of items received to appropriate location or department.
      4. Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes.
      5. Retrieves surplus equipment or supplies.
      6. Requests product return authorizations and processes required documents.
      7. Tracks orders and enters information regarding order and delivery details into appropriate database.
      8. Responds to inquiries and concerns regarding ordered items.
      9. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

      Minimum Qualifications:


      Education:
      High School diploma or equivalent required

      Experience:
      Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

      • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
      • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
      • Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
