  Audi Carlsbad Shipping and Receiving

  Audi Carlsbad, a Hoehn family dealership, is looking to add a Shipping & Receiving representative to join our team. This individual will help maintain and grow our fixed operations business.

  Primary duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Showing up excited to be here because we all are!
  • Occasionally you’ll be able to valet one of the best cars on the road to and from our clients business or home.
  • Making sure all the details are accurate by comparing identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • You’ll need to determine how things are going where based on the method of shipment.
  • Clearly mark all packages and get them off to their new home.
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers to get them ready for shipping.
  • Utilizes the appropriate software to track our warranty parts and by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed of.
  • Seals up our packages with nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape.
  • Clearly Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
  • You will need to make sure all of our goods are good and in great shape by unpacking and examine incoming shipments. But for those that don’t make the cut, you’ll reject bad items, record shortages, and correspond with the shipper to rectify damaged items and shortages.
  • Work as our internal traffic director by routing items to appropriate departments and personnel.
  • Double checks and examines all outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Keep up your supplies for shipping by properly managing an inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Operates equipment to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work area.
  • You will also help exit materials by disposing them in recycle and trash bins as directed.
  • Stay up to date on all health, safety, and compliance training as directed by management.
  • Complete and performs tasks in accordance with health, safety, and compliance regulations and procedures
  • Origination is key in order to maintain a safe, secure work place. High levels of organization is a must!
  • Complete all Audi training as directed in order to stay current on product lines, processes, and to help educate and assisting you in executing your duties.
  • Deliver vehicles and parts to Technicians in the shop to help the flow of parts and repairs.
  • If certified, operate forklift in a careful and responsible manner.

  Job Requirements:

  • 1+ years of automotive dealership experience preferred
  • Knowledge of ADP/CDK and parts catalog a plus
  • Ability to multi-task as well as taking on projects and assignments within the department
  • Valid California Driver’s license with good driving record
