  Job Description

  STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Pick, fill and ship sales orders for various Lighthouse Industries products with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency to meet the needs of our customers in a timely manner.

  SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Pick, fill and ship sales orders for various Lighthouse Industries products.
  • Basic typing and computer skills are required as well as familiarity with sales order forms and other pertinent shipping documents.
  • Ability to ship products utilizing the UPS and FedEx computer software.
  • Assist in loading and unloading freight elevator and trucks.
  • Receive incoming shipments, process and verify incoming packing slips and accurately distribute incoming shipments.
  • Utilize and organize Shipping Department floor space to ensure that finished products are placed in designated areas.
  • Adhere to safety rules and procedures and provide a safe, clean and well-organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  
  

  SPECIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • One year of previous shipping experience preferred.
  • Ability to set priorities and work independently is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move pallets required on an intermittent basis.
